Anna's Hummingbird

This hummer is a year-round resident in Northern California and is named after Anna, the Duchess of Rivoli in the 1800's. She was the wife of the Duc of Rivoli who had this bird in his collection. Audubon was impressed with Anna's beauty and therefore named this colorful hummingbird after her.
