Cooper's Hawk

The Cooper's Hawk is one of the most nimble flyers in the Hawk world. Since it's an accipiter it can maneuver easily through dense forests and backyard trees. The Cooper's Hawk kills its prey by squeezing it. It was named after William C. Cooper who was a founding member of the New York Lyceum of Natural History, currently called the New York Academy of Sciences.
