Collection: Common Loon

The Loon reminds me of camping in New Hampshire back in the 80's. That fantastic call can be heard for miles, it seems. Loons are great flyers but need a good distance on their 'runway' in order to take off. Eating only fish, they have sharp 'teeth' on their tongue and the roof of their mouth in order to hold on to their catch.  Common Loons require clear, unpolluted lakes, and can be harmed by pollution from run off.
